Ok, I'll admit I haven't been keeping up on a lot of stuff lately, but does anyone know why any web page I am on with Konqueror which has the word Microsoft in it, Microsoft gets transposed to MicroSuck? It's only with Konqueror; neither Mozilla nor Netscape 7.1 does it. It's pretty funny, once I figured it out. I mean, I was on the ZDNet web page doing research for a school assignment, and kept thinking, "Man, these guys are ballsy calling Microsoft MicroSuck!" Anyway, thanks for any info. -- Mitch Thompson, San Antonio TX // WB5UZG Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) http://home.satx.rr.com/mlthompson Independent Amsoil Dealer http://amsdealer.webhop.biz wget -O - http://home.satx.rr.com/mlthompson/pubkey.gpg | gpg --import -- ohnosecond: The amount of time between pressing the "ENTER" key and realizing you should not have.

You are probably running privoxy or junkbusters. An early version had that feature enabled, while the later ones have it disabled. Since it has been a couple of years since I had that problem I dont remember the exact location of the thing. Try looking at the default.conf file or post in the privoxy mail list at Ijbswa-users@lists.sourceforge.net Richard

Yes, I am running Privoxy, and, come to think of it, neither Mozilla nor Netscape are pointed at it. Interesting...time to look a bit closer at that config file. Thank you for the pointer. I couldn't find anything on Google. -- Mitch Thompson, San Antonio TX // WB5UZG Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) http://home.satx.rr.com/mlthompson Independent Amsoil Dealer http://amsdealer.webhop.biz wget -O - http://home.satx.rr.com/mlthompson/pubkey.gpg | gpg --import -- ohnosecond: The amount of time between pressing the "ENTER" key and realizing you should not have.

I just found it. It's in the /etc/privoxy/default.filter file about 2/3ds the way down. It talks about having some fun screwing with words and uses the microsuck example. RA

in /etc/privoxy/default.action find the line that contains: +filter{fun} \ under defaults and change it to: -filter{fun} \ Only if you don't like it, I like to leave mine on; -- Micxz
