[SLE] Need help with Enlightenment. . .
I asked this before but this has obviously been a slow weekend for this list. I have been playing with E and really like it. The problem is that I can't get econf (the tool to configure E) to install. this is the error: error: failed dependencies: libcapplet.so.0 is needed by econf-0.15-23 I'm trying to install from the SuSE RPMs via ftp. What package do I need to install to fix this dependancy? -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R. Hi all, Has anyone ever performed dial-up connection to HPUX by using kppp? if negative, what is your solution? Can one have more than one terminal during single dial-up session ? Can one have graphics term instead text-base for diap-up sesssion ? Somebody suggested me using ppl, has anyone tried this before ? Appreciate any ideas, suggestion and pointers. Thanks in advance. I've done it through a Windows NT server, I had to manually setup my ppp info to use MS Chap.

Since you have a network connection, you may have multiple telnet sessions.

Depends, most firewalls (assuming there is one) do not allow X traffic. In that case you are stuck with a telnet session.

Not me.
Appreciate any ideas, suggestion and pointers.
Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to install from the SuSE RPMs via ftp. What package do I need to install to fix this dependancy?
Let's see:
locate libcapplet /opt/gnome/lib/libcapplet.so.0 /opt/gnome/lib/libcapplet.so.0.0.0 rpm -qf /opt/gnome/lib/libcapplet.so.0 gncontr-1.0.51-3
There you go: Package "gncontr" is needed. Ahh, I didn't know how to do that. . .thank you. Next time maybe I can find it on my own. :-) -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R. Well, unfortunately, this command only works for packages that you have already installed. :-( Does anyone know how to find out what uninstalled package provides a specific file? You can install susepak and have then a description for every package in /usr/doc/susehilf/pak. Or try YaSTs Package information: Choose/Install packages --> Package information. I realized that about 2 seconds after I sent that response. :-) Just trying to be polite and say thanks and my fingers typed faster than my head could think. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Darren R.
