You could use Folder View Plasmoid on each desktop. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You can creat one Activity, and assign that to multiple desktops. But that way you can't get different pictures on each desktop. So about the only way to do it is create several activities all with the same plasmoids, or move those things like the trashcan down into the tray. (Although I wonder why one would need immediate access to the trash can). Activities are STILL not stable, and they will wander around from desktop to desktop. You will reboot only to find your desktops have mysteriously changed wall paper and when you zoom out you will find activities you never created, and no way to delete them. Some people on various lists have suggested setting things the way you like them and then chmod 400 ~/.kde/share/config/plasma-desktop-appletsrc However this seems unwise, because then you must remember to undo, and redo this for any change you do make to your desktop and activities. The only way to avoid activities changing on their own is to only have one desktop, and then switch activities with the activities switcher on the taskbar/panel. Of course this mean any applications you open will appear the same regardlesss of which activity is displayed. The developer of Activities just can't seem to stabilize them, and he/they appears to be totally out of touch with how people really use the modern desktop. Those who claim they have no problems with activities are simply disingenuous, or have not "zoomed out" to see that activities are breeding like rabbits behind the scenes, or they never turn their machines off. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
