[opensuse] Panel, in GNOME
I would like also to add multiple desktops in the panel of a GNOME environment. I have found in several places on the web that this can be done by adding a Workplace Switcher to the panel, then going to its Preferences and adjusting the number of desktops. Unfortunately, when I get to the Preferences, it shows me a way to select the n umber of rows in which the desktops will be arranged in the panel, but no field for the number of desktops. How can I define more desktops? The most recent note about this that I have found on the web is from April of 2008. Is it possible that since then the support for multiple desktops has been removed? -- Stan Goodman Qiryat Tiv'on Israel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If so, you can specify the number of desktops in either the Compiz Settings Manager or (easier) the Desktop Effects applet in the Gnome Control Center.
If not, the switcher applet *should* let you specify the number of desktops and I dunno what's wrong. -- N. B.
