A whole bunch of FUD. the RH AS EULA is applicable to services only if you want you can use a RH 7.2 system build and install the AS 2.1 SRPMs and you have a AS 2.1 machine. you can also buy the AS Media and install on as many machines as you want but you can not use rhn to update your systems nothing stops you from monitoring errata and building and updateing your systems yourself its been discussed many times before in many different places. it comes down to you want RH support you buy a license for each machine you dont want it then do what you want as teh software is all GPL On Sunday 15 June 2003 12:43 pm, Fred A. Yep, dl'ed the ISO, installed and no problem. They gave me a 3 month trial use of the services which I let expire because I went back to SuSE on the 2nd machine (just testing various distro's). So, It seems that if you want tailored services you pay for it. But I can use it and install it on as many as I choose. I do find it hader to access some of the site with a support key/ID. But if you dig you can find what your looking for in most cases... This is how they make money. Seems this guy has a problem with RH not giving him "everything" for free. Either that or he didn't do a good job explaining his position or I didn't understand what the gripe is about. Cheers, Curtis.
