Greetings, I'm running SuSE 7.1. Configured my ISA AWE64 card with the following results: - 1) System sound ok (eg., opening, closing kde windows) 2) MP3 player works ok 3) KSCD runs but no sound at all :-{ Searched SuSE sdb but couldn't find any relevant articles. Anyone with the same problem? Any idea where I've gone wrong? Thanks very much in advance. -- ~Linux Forever~

I had to give my user (me) permission to read the CD. KSCD has built in help that gives the details on what to do. Click around in the player and you will find it. I'd tell you directly, but I'm in "that other OS" right now, and don't have access to KSCD. -- Best regards, Rudder mailto:rudder@olsusa.com

I know it sounds stupid, but... Have you checked the obvious? Is your CD player audio output connected to the sound card audio input? Have you turned up the volume on the CD input? (use e.g. kmix). Do you get audio if you plug headphones into the socket on the front of the CD player? -- David Smith Tel: +44 (0)1454 462380 (direct) STMicroelectronics Fax: +44 (0)1454 617910 1000 Aztec West TINA (ST only): (065) 2380 Almondsbury Home: 01454 616963 BRISTOL Mobile: 07932 642724 BS32 4SQ Work Email: Dave.Smith@st.com Home Email: David.Smith@ds-electronics.co.uk
