Is anyone here running Leap 15.1 on a Lenovo P53 (Intel CPU model)? I got a brand new one at the office, and failed to get an external monitor recognized (either through the local HDMI connector or that of the docking station). The nVidia G05 driver is installed.
Any shared experience would be welcome.
Not having experience with that model I googled a bit (Lenovo P53 and linux), and what I found is that the machine is apparently certified by Ubuntu :-? <https://certification.ubuntu.com/hardware/201908-27268> «This system was tested with 18.04 LTS, running the 4.15.0-1053-oem kernel.» An OEM kernel? :-o There are questions in a Lenovo forum about the WiFi, though. <https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Ubuntu/Linux-compatibility-with-Thinkpad-P 53/td-p/4516532> This seems you: <https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Other-Linux-Discussions/P53-external-monit or-not-recognized/td-p/4579714> So they have a "Redhat / Fedora / CentOS" forum, another for Ubuntu, another for Debian, and finally another for "Other Linux Discussions", which is the most used of all. Good find! I may post one my my own there. Sorry, I don't have an answer for your problem. Did the machine come with Windows, and if so, did you keep the double boot?
