Hello all, I'm currently running SuSE 8.0 (which I bought and installed just a few months ago), but I want a few of the upgrades that come with SuSE 8.1 (mostly ogg v1 and LVM, the LVM version on 8.0 has a NASTY pvmove bug). I really don't want to drop another $80 (or $50 for the upgrade) on 8.1, so I ask how much of a pain is it to upgrade a system via FTP? How much time did others invest on getting an FTP upgrade to work? I really don't want to do a clean install either . . . I have a full backup of all the system partitions, so at worst I could go back to where I am now. I also have a good (1.5MBit/sec) DSL connection, so that shouldn't be a factor. Thanks. -Nick
