Can someone give me the easiest way to update 6.3? I'm using a cable modem with static ip (no DHCP), and I wish to do that from the FTP. I've got the bootdisk images and I have made boot disk for the install boot disk as well as the modules. Somehow when I specify FTP, and got to yast v1.3, it says I didn't select an installation medium, and don't allow me to install. Also if a system update for 6.1 is needed. How is it done? Do i have to redirect my install medium to the /pub/suse_update/6.1 directory? Yast-->Choose/install packages-->Install packages-->Source:none -hit down arrow and select FTP - you will automatically be sent to SuSE ftp update site.
