[opensuse] Digest Verification Failed
Hi Folks, In doing a fresh install of 64-bit 12.1 a zypper dup comes up with a digest verification failure: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/languages:/python/openSUSE_... Digest verification failed for libssh2-1-1.4.0-28.4.x86_64.rpm. Expected 8946258650f8bb74ac03a99e2239f86a19393ed7536897bbcca5761cb6113bea, found 46a30d2280b27bf4bec15204ffa5117f99509a66bf264022762ada93df2690de. Continue? I hesitate to ignore this kind of a thing, especially in a ssh library. What's the correct way to report this kind of a thing? Since there was no reply to this, I'll ask if you still see this problem? Requests to download.opensuse.org are redirected to mirrors, it's possible the mirror you were downloading from has a corrupt file. Are you able to determine which mirror you are being redirected to? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Graham, The problem sorted itself out this afternoon, the update completed without complaint. But as background, I had to perform another install on a 32-bit laptop last night and ran into the same problem. This time with the i586 version of the library. I googled around a bit and found links to libssh2-1-1.4.0-28.4.i586.rpm but they were all dead-ends, both on opensuse sites and others. I found a libssh2-1-1.4.0-28.5.i586.rpm on a University of Oreagon site, and installed that one. zypper dup then ran to completion! Thanks for the suggestion to notify admin@opensuse.org for issues like this. Then somthing with the brain of the mirror is broken. Please ensure to point the openSUSE admins to this. Else it might happen again, Only you are able to provide the needed inforamtion. You can also use bugzilla for this. Then we're all able to you the fun. In this case pleae be this nice to quote the bug ID here, better a full link as this might be even more convenient.
