HI there! I wonder if anyone out there knows if I can configure the middle mouse button (mouse wheel button) to act as a double click in KDE (example to open a file in Konqueror, to edit a contact address in Kontact, ...)? Control Center -> Peripherals -> Mouse (o) Single Click to open files and folders Now in Konqueror: - An LMB click opens in the same tab/window - An MMB click opens in a new tab/window As for Kontact: I don't know. ;) Try it out if you have turned on 'Single Click to open files and folders'. Cheers, Leen

It would be nice to be able to map the 5 button + scrollwheel mice to arbitrary functions but as far as I know this is not possible yet. Am I correct?

This is what I'd like to know too ... In Win2k, it's very practical to open documents (i.e. OpenOffice Documents, ...) in an "Open Document" dialog window with one single click. Laurent -- Linux is like an Indian tent: no Windows, no Gates, and an Apache inside!

Thanks for the advise.

I selected "Honor KDE single click" in "Configure KAddressBook", but it didn't change a thing.

Does somebody know what does the function "Honor KDE single click" ('Settings - Configure KAddressBook - Addressbook') exactly do? Laurent On Thursday 08 July 2004 11:54, expatriate wrote:
