Can't connect to local Apache2 server
I've been trying for days now to connect to my installed apache2 server. it starts up without problems, but as soon as I point my browser to "http://localhost" or "http://arizona" (my server name), I get the following: <<< An error occurred while loading http://arizona/manual/: Connection to host arizona is broken. <<< This is accompanied by messages in the error_log about a Segmentation Fault. Can anyone suggest how to go about troubleshooting this problem? I plan to get to know MediaWiki so that I can champion it at work. /var/log/apache2/error_log <<< [Sat Sep 03 23:12:54 2005] [info] Init: Initializing OpenSSL library [Sat Sep 03 23:12:54 2005] [info] Init: Seeding PRNG with 0 bytes of entropy [Sat Sep 03 23:12:54 2005] [info] Init: Generating temporary RSA private keys (512/1024 bits) [Sat Sep 03 23:12:55 2005] [info] Init: Generating temporary DH parameters (512/1024 bits) [Sat Sep 03 23:12:55 2005] [warn] Init: Session Cache is not configured [hint: SSLSessionCache] [Sat Sep 03 23:12:55 2005] [info] Init: Initializing (virtual) servers for SSL [Sat Sep 03 23:12:55 2005] [info] Server: Apache/2.0.54, Interface: mod_ssl/2.0.54, Library: OpenSSL/0.9.7e [Sat Sep 03 23:12:55 2005] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec2) [Sat Sep 03 23:12:55 2005] [info] mod_unique_id: using ip addr 192.168.0.2 [Sat Sep 03 23:12:56 2005] [notice] Digest: generating secret for digest authentication ... - run online update to get the latest php and restart apache2 - if that does not help, disable php4 from /etc/sysconfig/apache2 and try again - come back with more info :) Peter -- the tasty machine that goes "ping" got the tasty cardinal
