Once again I'm having problems with Yast. This time it's when trying to install 6.2 as an upgrade. I've had problems in the past trying to upgrade and have always gone back to a fresh install to get it to work. I get all the way through to selecting my existing root partition. Yast hums away for awhile then comes back and says that my existing installation is at a higher level than my install media...there's nothing to upgrade. I keep my system up to date. I've installed the 2.2.12 kernel and I've put on the various security patches posted on the SuSE website. I doubt the patches should be causing problems but do I need to go back to the old 2.2.7 kernel??? I really don't want to do another fresh install!!! ---------------------------------- E-Mail: Gerry Doris <gdoris@home.com> Date: 04-Sep-99 Time: 12:28:36 "The lyf so short, the craft so long to learne" Chaucer ---------------------------------- -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
