Hi. I'm trying to find the source code for my currently installed kernel. I installed the 2.2.18-SMP kernel off SuSE 7.1 installation CD and have never made any changes to it. 'aout' returns '2.2.18-SMP' as expected. I was expecting to find a '/usr/src/linux-2.2.18-SMP' directory, or maybe a '/usr/src/linux-2.2.18' directory with a .config file for SMP. Instead I found the '/usr/src/linux' link pointing to '/usr/src/linux-2.4.0.SuSE'. There was a '/usr/src/linux-2.2.18' directory but there were only a few files in it. Is there a 2.2.18-SMP source package on the installation CD somewhere? Or does the 2.2.18-SMP kernel use the same source as 2.2.18? And idea why '/usr/src/linux' was pointing to '/usr/src/linux-2.4.0.SuSE'? Thanks, Dan. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
