exact error message
this error message occurs right after something to do with syslog <--if that has anything to do with it
/sbin/init.d/rc3.d/s15yppaswdd: /etc/rc.config.d/ypserv.rc.config : no such file or dir
/sbin/init.d/rc3.d/s15ypserv : etc/rc.config.d/ypserv.rc.config : no such file or dir
I hope that helps, it took me 6 reboots to finaly get it all. Seems like a NIS error. Do you use NIS?
If not, just delete those S15yp*-files from rc3.d, which prohibits the service from starting, if so, make the requested file with a minimum contents as YPPWD_SRCDIR=/etc YPPWD_CHFN="no" YPPWD_CHSH="no" YPSERV_USEDNS="no" or the values that apply to your installation.
