directory of c header files?
SUSE10 I am installing vmware workstation, and the vmware-config.pl script is asking me: What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include] The default location listed in brackets is not accepted ... I do have the kernel source files and gcc, gcc-c++ and libgcc installed. I have looked around, but I'm not really sure what I am looking for, so I don't know how to identify the correct location. I guess today is my day for lame questions ... The means of defence agst. foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people. James Madison Constitutional Convention (June 29, 1787)

Please check the archives. There are two or three commands you much issue in /usr/src/linux before the config will work. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ + Bruce S. Try putting in the Linux kernel version instead of just /linux/. I would use something like: /usr/src/linux-2.6.11.4-21.11/include - James W.
