[opensuse] Is openFATE dead or alive?
Sorry, is the portal features.opensuse.org still active? I though it doesn't, but eventually I can see new petitions. Finally, how can I register new petitions for openSUSE at this moment? Thx in advance! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

features.opensuse.org was indeed declared dead, it should be removed. If you want certain features in the distro, use bugzilla, or contact the developer ( which mostly works best ). -- Gertjan Lettink a.k.a. openFATE is as alive as Schroedinger's cat ;-) Seriously: openFATE was not actively used by our developers, and also wasn't maintained for quite a while (aka "bitrotting"). We are currently documenting the replacements, and when this is done, we'll announce the shutdown of openFATE - early enough to give everybody a chance to backup his/her favorite feature request. Maybe someone is even bored enough to implement one of them? ;-)

I'll give you a quick summary: Most feature requests are about improving upstream software, and therefore should go to the upstream (bug)trackers, for example on github, bugs.kde.org, ... Please tag them as "feature request" or, for upstream projects using bugzilla, use severity "enhancement". The details obviously differ for each upstream project, but you won't be completely wrong with what I wrote ;-) If you have openSUSE-specific feature requests (to name a boring example: "install $package by default"), you can open a bug at bugzilla.opensuse.org. Please make sure to use severity "enhancement". Regards, Christian Boltz -- If only life could be easy as openSUSE! Thanks, I've followed your indications and used Bugzilla for sending my feature request. This is it: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1098268 El mar., 19 jun. 2018 a las 18:47, Christian Boltz (<opensuse@cboltz.de>) escribió:
