Hi all... I could not locate the mpage program under SuSE 7.1 ... Maybe there is another program for printing 2 or more pages of text on a single page of paper? Or maybe is part of a package that I don't install and not included in the description? Sound strange to me that a so rich distribution lacks a tool like mpage. Thank you all. P.S.: I've learned a lot from this lis. The most elegant solution would be to print with: lpr file1 If apsfilter detects that file1 is a text file, it uses a2ps by default to convert the file into a postscript file, and passes it on to Ghostscript. The options for a2ps (2 or more pages on a sheet of paper, and much, much more) should be set in /etc/apsfilterrc, or, even better, in /etc/apsfilterrc.<gs_printerdriver> (if you installed with yast1), or in /etc/apsfilterrc.y2prn_<queue>.upp if you installed with yast2. However!!!! I remember that this worked in 6.3, but in 7.1 lpr file1 does not work if file1 is a text file. From all what I have found, I suspect that the reason is that the version of a2ps in 7.1 is newer than apsfilter expects. So if you have a look at /etc/apsfilterrc.<......> you see how you can have apsfilter use _enscript_ instead of a2ps, and, similarly, set its options there. But I must say: haven't tried it myself yet. SH
