remote kdm (xdmcp)
I trying to setup a SUSE 10.0 box to allow remote graphical login. I've set the yast check box to true and I'm in init state 5. I'm not running the firewall currently. For some reason I'm not seeing anything from my remote box (cygwin running X). What else do I need to do? Thanks Greg -- Greg Freemyer The Norcross Group Forensics for the 21st Century

Look into using FreeNX and NX instead, sure made my life much easier and left my scalp a little fuller. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998
Thanks, I have it running. Looks like a nice program based on my first 30 seconds of usage. For others knowledge FreeNX is part of the distro, I read the /usr/share/doc/packages/FreeNX/README.SuSE file which provided a setup command. Then downloaded and installed the client. Everything went very smooth. Greg On 12/30/05, Ken Schneider <suse-list@bout-tyme.net> wrote:
