Anybody know of an rpm of xmltv for SuSE 9.2. I'd rather not just do a make/install? Also is there an rpm for mythtv? Geoff

xmltv is provided in the apt repository: /pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.2-i386/base $ zgrep -E "mythtv|xmltv" contlist.bz2 perl-xmltv;0.5.36-ft.1;i586;funktronics perl-xmltv;0.5.36-ft.1;src;funktronics Or go the directory directlly: ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.2-i386/RPMS.funktronics -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

Trying to install perl-xmltv using apt gets me this message "17 package(s) with unknown signatures". Clicking on that message just seems to abort the install! What is one supposed to do please? apt also wants to delete kssh, why? Geoff

Use 'apt install rpmkey-funktronics' (from the rpmkeys component). Perhaps you need even more rpmkey rpms to obtain all rpm builder signatures. You can use 'apt search rpmkey' to determine which signatures are available.
apt also wants to delete kssh, why? Use 'apt install kssh' and analyse the output.

Actually, you want to use: apt install --no-checksig rpmkey-...., as rpmkeys are also signed. Cheers Sunny -- Get Firefox http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=10745&t=85

Thanks for that. I didn't see anything about keys in the docs I've read and synaptic didn't suggest anything either when it complained. Anyway I've installed some of those rpmkey packages now. I'm learning... This is what I got from "apt install kssh": The following packages have unmet dependencies: kssh: Depends: kdelibs3 (>= 3.3.1) but 3.3.0-34 is to be installed Seems like I've got a mix of 3.3.0 and 3.3.1 kde archives! check what repositories you have in /etc/apt/sources.list and remove the duplicates (if you have stable and unstable lets say). then do apt-get update to refresh the package list and try again. Cheers Sunny -- Get Firefox http://www.spreadfirefox.com/?q=affiliates&id=10745&t=85

3.3.0-34 is not availabe on the server anylonger: apt/SuSE $ zgrep "3\.3\.0" *-i386/base/contlist.bz2 | grep kdebase3\; 9.0-i386/base/contlist.bz2:kdebase3;3.3.0-1;i586;suse-people 9.1-i386/base/contlist.bz2:kdebase3;3.3.0-1;i586;suse-people I assume you need to perform an 'apt update' and than see what is reported. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
