[SuSE Linux] KDE help
Help! All was up and running when I installed some 1.1pre1 rpms meant for RedHat 5.2 then KDE wouldn't boot up! Tried reinstalling the proper SUSE KDE rpm packages and now it works ONLY if I fist do startx and then from there I choose other windows managers\KDE if I do startkde or kde if comes back with lots of symbols it can't find and doesn't get it at all. I thought of removing the offending packages but... if I do rpm -e package name it comes back saying the package is not installed. However if I run yast, I can see the package installed, but only if I choose install packages, so my only choice there is to reinstall the same package I want to get rid of. If in YAST I choose DELETE PACKAGES, the offending packages are not listed! Any help! Try `rpm -q -a` to see if the packages are installed there. On Fri, 15 Jan 1999, Arturo Martinez-Nieves wrote:
