I thought of removing the offending packages but... if I do rpm -e package name it comes back saying the package is not installed. However if I run yast, I can see the package installed, but only if I choose install packages, so my only choice there is to reinstall the same package I want to get rid of.

If in YAST I choose DELETE PACKAGES, the offending packages are not listed!

Any help!
