Hi- I have used a few techniques including the scripts which are located in something like /usr/doc/inetcfg which include a ppp-up and ppp.chat. You simply edit the scripts with values unique to your ISP and then run one as root. A second process, much more elegant, is to use something like ezppp or xisp. Both of these can be found at the Linux Utilities and Applications page. That page is located at www.xnet.com/~blatura/linapps.shtml. There are instructions on the home pages for both programs on how to install, make scripts to completely automate your login, etc. I am quite new at the linux stuff and managed to compile xisp with help from some list members. If you would like to see the scripts I was using before compiling xisp, you can drop me a private email and I can provide them in email. They are quite small in size. -- --Michael Perry-- mperry@mperry.basin.com -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
