Crystal ball time....... With no info, no one can begin to guess what to do to help you. What card? What specific model? Is it DVB? Is it analog? Is it something else? What have you done? What have you tried? Have you looked things up on the LinuxTV website? Have you searched with Google? Have you looked at the HCL on opensuse.org? Did you install the ATI drivers from their site? -- ----------JSA--------- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi, My tv tuner card was recognized by yast when I installed 10.3 on my computer. If you have just installed your card, you should be able to use yast to recognize it. However, some ati tv cards don't work with linux. You need to supply more info about your card. I have tried to use Mplayer to play the info sent through the tv tuner card, without success. One other fellow has been able to use my script to watch tv with his card using the script that I supplied. Here is the script, no guarantees it will work for you but you can try it. To find channel freguency, use scantv in console mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:input=0:norm=ntsc:width=640:height=480:device=/dev/video0:\ freq=61.25:adevice=/dev/dsp1:forceaudio:audiorate=32000 I have been trying for a while to get Mythtv working, but so far haven't been able to get it working on my computer. It is rumored to be able to work with linux. I was able to watch videos on tvtime with my ati card. You can find the program via yast.
