Getting Gaim & other Apps on the Menu & Desktop
Ok. Have gaim working from Bash. How do I get it to show up under the SuSE 8.0 K-Internet-Communication selections like Everybuddy, please? For that matter, how about as an icon on the desktop, please? Thanks again ... doc -- "And God said, let there be light ... "
The desktop is the easiest bit. right click on the desktop, select "Create new" then "link to application". a popup window will appear. Under the "general" tab, type "Gaim", under the "Execute" tab put /opt/gnome/bin/gaim. if you want to set an icon, click on the icon button in the general tab, select "Other icons", then browse, then goto /opt/gnome/share/pixmaps and look for gaim.xpm.
