This morning, I did an apt-get upgrade on my 10.0 i386 system. After the upgrade, Firefox, Mozilla, Thunderbird and Sunbird all die on startup or shortly after. They all give output to stdout / stderr that looks similar to this: (Gecko:7720): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_set_back_pixmap: assertion pixmap == NULL || gdk_drawable_get_able_get_depth (pixmap)' failed The program 'Gecko' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadPixmap (invalid Pixmap parameter)'. (Details: serial 4881 error_code 4 request_code 2 minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.) I don't have a clue how to debug this. Can anyone help? Those are all my most-used applications. Thanks Michael -- San Francisco, CA
