I'm using KDE 3.3.1, SuSE 9.1., konqueror 3.3.1. I use my bookmarks frequently and it is very convenient to have them in a toolbar, which is one of the main things I like about konqueror. However, I find that every now and again the bookmark toolbar disappears and I have to go the menu options again and again to reset it. Is there a way of getting it to stay permanently? Why does it disappear sometimes? I'd appreciate any advice as I find this behaviour very annoying. Thanks Eddie

Eddie, In Konqueror>Settings>Save View Profile "webbrowsing..." Select that after getting Konq just as you want it to be with all your toolbars and window sizing. It should remain the way you like it from that point. When you have Konqueror loaded like you prefer, go to Settings, Save View Profile "whatever is listed" and click on it. You can also manage Profiles here or try out different ones on the fly. All about choice. If the bookmark toolbar keeps disappearing occasionally after that then we may have a real issue... Stan

I did try that before (I think in 9.0). It became worse because not only did it continue to lose the bookmark toolbar after that but also complained about not being able to handle "about:" or something like that each time I attempted to use it. Anyway, I'll give it another try and will "scream" if I continue to lose the toolbar. Thanks Stan (and all the others who replied) Eddie
