Re: Fw: Re: [SLE] kterm: unable to open font on SuSE7.0
Thank you for the info regarding kterm and locale-ja. But after I had sent the mail,I found that there are kterm.rpm and kinput2.rpm in j1 directory of SuSE 7.1. I installed the above two rpms, I could display Japanese characters on kterm window, but could not input romaji characters though I got "RO-MA( actually this is romaji)" . Also this kterm hungs up after SHIFT - SPACE key. Inagaki-san, Can you use kinput2 on kterm window? -- Zen Kato

Try Kondara(http://www.kondara.org/) rpms. They work fine with SuSE 6.4 (XFree86 3) and 7.0 (XFree86 4):
ftp://ftp.kddlabs.co.jp/Linux/packages/Kondara/pub/Kondara-1.0/errata/i586/kterm-6.2.0-13k1.i586.rpm (--> requires libXaw.so.6)
or
ftp://ftp.kddlabs.co.jp/Linux/packages/Kondara/pub/Jirai/i586/kterm-6.2.0-25k.i586.rpm (--> requires libXaw.so.7)
Where and how to set up ja_JP.EUC?
I wrote in my ~/.bashrc as follows;
export LANG=ja_JP.EUC
RedHat rpm:
ftp://ftp.kddlabs.co.jp/pub/Linux/packages/RedHat/redhat/redhat-6.2-ja/i386/RedHat/RPMS/locale-ja-9-3.noarch.rpm
may work. I use "ja_JP" with this rpm.
