-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I'm not quite at the "build my own from source" stage, and have recently moved to SuSE 9.1 from Fedora Core 2. One thing I had access to on Fedora was a package called madman (http://madman.sourceforge.net/), which is a VERY nice music management tool. Is there anyone out there who could: 1. Give me a hand getting it built 2. Give me a hand getting it packaged so that others could use it TIA. I will bet dollars to donuts that this is easy. I have not built it, and I run SuSE 8.1, not 9.1. But . . .the madman website says you need QT 3.1 or newer (SuSE 8.1 has this so 9.1 will be fine). libvorbis-1.0 or newer (ditto) XMMS 1.2.6 or newer (ditto) libid3tag -0.15.1b. Available on the SuSE 9.1 Professional CDs or from here: http://www.suse.com/us/private/products/suse_linux/prof/packages_professiona... The HOW-TO that comes with the .tar.gz archive for madman-0.93.tar.gz tells how to build it from source. I'll see if it builds on my SuSE box tomorrow morning and I'll let you know. If I can build it on my 8.1 box, it will be a snap on 9.1. -- Tony Alfrey tonyalfrey@earthlink.net "I'd Rather Be Sailing"
