[opensuse] Upgrading Firefox
I have two machines, both v11.4, one of them newly installed, both with Firefox 4.0b12. YaST Software Manager says that FF v5.0 is available. Trying to download the newer release causes the Software Manager window to collapse at once, leaving no remark about why it is doing this. Downloading Thunderbird, on the other hand, goes without a hitch. Why might this be happening with Firefox? -- Stan Goodman Qiryat Tiv'on Israel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have an idea, but it doesn't matter. Open Konsole or some other terminal or switch to one of the virtual consoles, and do 'zypper in MozillaFirefox', which should get you FF5 without any crashing. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
