"connect: Network is unreachable"
Connected to the same router, there are two computers, called "se" (192.168.2.11) and "hp" (192.168.2.11) in my home network. Last Monday, I have installed Leap 15.3 on "se" and yesterday on "hp". Whereas "se" reaches any internet site, on "hp" some sites may reached and some not, in which case the error message "connect: Network is unreachable" appears. Both machines are connected to the same router by cable. Examples of sites I can reach: - https://www.google.de - https://en.wikipedia.org - https://dict.leo.org - https://elpais.com Examples of unreachable sites: - https://www.treccani.it - https://www.washingtonpost.com - https://www.dizionario.rai.it - http://www.ariannuccia.de (my own site) Thinking it is a firewall problem, I made sure that the firwall is switched off. But that did not help. Thank you in advance for your help. Best regards, Wolfgang

Best regards, Wolfgang How about a different IP address? Afterall, if there is a response, to which computer must it send back by the router?

The identical IP addresses for both my computers as specified above are a typing error. They were different of course: "se" (192.168.2.11) and "hp" (192.168.2.13) But I found it a good idea to change the one of my problematic computer "hp" to 192.168.2.14, such that they are now: "se" (192.168.2.11) and "hp" (192.168.2.14) But that change did not help. Unfortunately the problem persists. Bye, Wolfgang

"ifconfig", if you still use it, or otherwise "ip addr" and "ip route", to compare network parameters on both machines. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.2 x86_64 at Telcontar)
Are your dns settings correct? cat /etc/resolv.conf If they are. Do some traceroutes (without dns) from both computers and compare: traceroute -n www.treccani.it If it stalls try with tcp (as root): traceroute -T -O info -n -p 80 www.treccani.it -- /bengan
Rechecking the System-->Network Settings in yast, I found an erroneous setting in Routing. After the correction everything works perfectly. I want to express my gratitude to all of you that have sent an answer to this mailing list. The tests contained in this answers brought me to finding and correcting the error. Best regards, Wolfgang
