[opensuse] 12.2 and java-1.7.0-openjdk
Hello, I think I have made a mess..., and i don't how to resolve it. :-) After upgrading to 12.2 with zypper I saw that java-1.6.0-openjdk isn't anymore in the repositoires. So I deleted it, and just keeping 1.7.0. After this I think java is not working anymore. Executing 'java' in terminal it says it doesn't exist. I saw that /usr/bin/java was a symbolic link to 1.6 (and another ones in another places), so I deleted them thinking that reinstalling 1.7 would replace it. But it doesn't, it just do nothing, doesn't create anything. And now executing update-alternatives --config java it just show some errors saying that 1.6 doesn't exists.., but i can't do anything. Maybe I had to execute this before uninstall anything. How could I repair this? You could temporarily add an old repository such as: http://download.opensuse.org/update/12.1/ (Yast2 Software Repositorys, add url) You could manually add the sym-link(s). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I have just fixed it removing the file /var/lib/rpm/alternatives/java and then simply reinstalling the rpm. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
