I accidentally encrypted my smb.conf file and think I typoed when it had requested me for the encryption key as I was not sure what it was asking for (can you tell I am new?) and I entered my root password (or so I thought) now when I open the file it asks for the encryption key but when I enter the root password it does not unencrypt the file. Is there a way to get the file unencrypted without knowing the key? Thanks, and I hope someday I can start ANSWERING the questions instead of asking them! Greg
