I have problem that suddenly occurred mounting cifs. It used to work, and no change [as far as I know], now I can only see the root directory and the subdirectories of the share do not work. 1. Samba server: smb.conf [public] path = /home/public writeable = yes browesable = yes create mask = 0777 directory mask = 0777 guest ok = yes force group = pcusers valid users = @pcusers 2. All the Windows PCs connect properly with read and writes [no problem] 3. 2 Linux kiosks [same on both]: the users of the kiosks are part of the pcusers group on the Samba server, they can see the content of /home/public, but when they go into the subdirectories, there just a simple listing as type unknown. It cannot differentiate between files and directories. It's mounted through: mount -t cifs //db/public /home/public -o username=abc, password=xyz [as one line] and that executes at startup. User abc is also part of the group pcusers on the Samba server. Any suggestion? -- Thanks
