Just checking differences, anyone here have an x86 based notebook and an iBook, or one of the other. I know you'd have more chance of getting an up to date Linux installed on the Notebook PC, but with the hardware in the notebook's that is not necessarily an easy option. Anyone got advice? Matt PS I know about Mac OS X, but I still prefer Linux.

For what it's worth, my wife has a Dell Insprion 2500 and it works great with SuSE 8.1. I bought it for her because she *needed* Windows sometime and I don't run Windows. Now it dual boots since 8.1 configures most everything (including WiFi) right out of the box. Preston
