Greetings all, SuSE64 detected my SCSI Yahama 4260 CDrom but not my internal ATAPI CDROM. I had no problem with RedHat, Mandrake or SuSE63. How can I make SuSE64 recognise the CDrom? I installed SuSE64 from the SCSI CDrom. Can this be the cause of the problem? Any help is greatly appreciated. Do you know the device name for the IDE CDROM? If, for example, the CD drive is /dev/hda, then when you get the LILO prompt on bootup, type: linux hda=cdrom If that works, and you can see your CD drive, you can put an append="hda=cdrom" line in your /etc/lilo.conf and rerun LILO. Hope that helps, Chris -- Apologies to everyone who has been waiting for replies off me over the past few weeks - I've been away from my computer.
