Hi! I have some memorex cd/dvd labels (they to on the actual disc, not the jewel case cover), and I was wondering if there is a program to print on them, like Nero on windows (it's been >2 years since I last used it) knows where the round sticker is to print on. I saw kover, but I didn't see how to print on things for the actual disc, just the case. Can it do more? Or do I have to find another program? Thanks! -Steven

These seem to be for OpenOffice only, glabels-2.0.2-3.i586.rpm is on the 9.3 DVD and probably earlier releases have it on CD/DVD. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ... True.. but I once had a template for OO (long ago) and I suspect such can be found on the web. Or on the OO site. And one could always modify one of the ones at the site above. --

OK, I shall give that a try later. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ... Hamradio License G3VBV, Keen licensed Private Pilot Retired IBM Mainframes and Sun Servers Tech Support Specialist Microsoft Windows Free Zone - Linux used for all Computing Tasks

Not only that, it's artwork for making OpenOffice labels.

I think this is more of what the OP was looking for: http://ooextras.sourceforge.net/ -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge

Also search google with: site:lists.suse.com [sles] ooextras and follow the link for how to use them in OO. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge

Fine... ok ok.... yes I knew all this when I posted the link... HOWEVER... It shows that OO CAN create labels. I didn't think I had to spend the time searching the entire site for the OP. I will let him to do. There are many other links on google that will also point to other methods of creating labels. It was just a HINT.... ok?

I run the program that came with CD Stomper with Wine. Works well.

The 9.3 binary installation DVD includes a program called "glabels" which allows you to define and print labels. It contains an extensive library of pre-defined lable templates, including several CD/DVD labels. Naturally, you can add text and graphics to the pre-defined lable templates. You can create new templates. Randall Schulz

When I last glables, going back a few years, I was able to produce CD labels, but with the SuSE 9.3 version, I can add a text object which appears on the displayed label, but when it's printed I only get the lines of text. Is there any special magic needed as I've tried evreything I've seen to get a recognised label. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
