I though that it would be nice to have two versions of OOo available. One based on the latest stable sources. Second based on the latest development and potentially less stable sources => I created three new projects: .../OpenOffice.org:STABLE/ .../OpenOffice.org:UNSTABLE/ .../OpenOffice.org:EXTRAS/ -> for some common stuff like dictionaries This means that the older project .../OpenOffice.org/ is obsoleted. I will remove the packages from it soon (within the next two weeks or so). -- Best Regards, Petr Mladek software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: pmladek@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 952 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I somewhat have tell the Build Service that there is also the second spec file.

Hmm, I am afraid that it will not work because there is another version. You might try the lang packages from FACTORY, e.g. from: ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source/suse/noarch Please, be patient. We had the Hack Week. I have vacation the following week... I will try to fix it within two weeks. -- Best Regards, Petr Mladek software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: pmladek@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 952 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

OK, i was patient and recognized the update of /OpenOffice.org:/UNSTABLE/openSUSE_10.2/noarch/ from 2007-07-14 Thanks 4 this, but the packages dont work because it installs into another folder(/usr/share) than the rest(/usr/lib) You have to do a rpm -Uvh --relocate=/usr/share=/usr/lib OpenOffice_org-de-2.2.99.211-2.1.noarch.rpm after downloading it. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You have to do a
rpm -Uvh --relocate=/usr/share=/usr/lib OpenOffice_org-de-2.2.99.211-2.1.noarch.rpm
after downloading it.
Noarch packages must not include files below /usr/lib or /usr/lib64. I had to move them to a common place => /usr/share. There should be a %post install script to create the necessary compat symlinks. You can see it in the packages in Factory. From some strange reasons, the packages build in the Build Service does not include these scripts. I do not why. They are built from the exactly the same sources. I have to investigate it. Note that the scripts are only temporary solution. I want to hack OOo to be able to find all the files directly below /usr/share/. I am afraid that I won't be able to do the clean solution for 10.3, though. I have long plans to move even more files to follow the usual Linux structure (config files to /etc...). It needs a lot of work, so... -- Best Regards, Petr Mladek software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: pmladek@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 952 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Strange, I have just triggered a full rebuild and the new packages have the %post scripts. They should work out of box now. -- Best Regards, Petr Mladek software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: pmladek@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 952 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

the newest packages 2.2.99.222-2.1 are again without the language packs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It should be fixed now. The problem is that I have split the packages. The architectrure independent stuff must be built from separate spec file. It requires exactly the same version of binaries. If there is a build failure, the version of the binary and noarch packages might not fit together. I'll do my best to create buildable packages and keep the stuff in sync. Though, I can't guarantee it everytime. I am sorry for the inconvenience. -- Best Regards, Petr Mladek software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: pmladek@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 952 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
