Yes it does, later version kernels support this. you also need the apmd deamon running. gnome has a nice shutdown and suspend feature, but thats root only. The nice thing is it supports CPU idle and such, for those with overclocked celerons. I am still looking for a env monitoring program that manages fan speed voltage and temps,
If you're using a window manager that handles WMaker-style dockapps, I'd suggest that you go to http://freshmeat.net and do a search for `lm78'. Lots of good projects going on there :). You also need the lm78 and sensors packages compiled and installed, which aren't `piece of cake' easy, but aren't like pulling teeth, either ;). -- -=|JP|=- Jon Pennington | Atipa Linux Solutions jpennington@atipa.com | http://www.atipa.com Kansas City, MO, USA | 816-241-2641 x121 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
