[opensuse] Problems with 15.0 Update-Non-Oss?
Yesterday evening I noticed that my systems complained about the Update-Non-Oss repository. It still does today: Warning: Repository 'openSUSE-Leap-Update-Non-Oss' appears to be outdated. Consider using a different mirror or server. I was under the impression that 15.0 had a couple of months left before eol. Can somebody point me to a updated mirror? -- Regards Klaus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Just ignore the message. There simply have not been updates to non-oss since some time, and an algorithm thinks (wrongly) that there is some issue. Report in bugzilla if you wish :-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)

Ahh, no problem then. Thanks
Report in bugzilla if you wish :-)
Now knowing why - I can live with it ;-) But one starts speculating: I dont think the algorithm for calculation should be changed. I would suggest something like a dummy canary.rpm which receives an automated and timestamped update every day, in every repository. -- Regards Klaus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Certainly. And the Bugzilla could suggest just that ;-) -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.0 x86_64 at Telcontar)

No problems here. A problem with the mirror that's being selected for you perhaps? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Nonsense. 15.0 is going to be supported for more than a couple of months. But, we're already at 15.1 ......

The more significant upgrade from 42.3 to 15.0 was deferred by extending the life of 42.3 by about 5 months. It had been scheduled for retirement last January, while 15.0 is scheduled for support through November 2019, and 15.1 through November 2020. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is religion, not science.
