[SuSE Linux] char-major-4 etc
Hello all, My char-major-4 problem, I found, could be fixed in two ways: 1) Compile serial as a module 2) alias char-major-4 off in conf.modules. My ttyp5 problem went away mysteriously. I _SUSPECT_ it has to do with xconsole, and lsof wouldn't work for me because I'm running kernel 2.2.1. Thanks to all who helped. -- Martin Jackson: mjackson@deskmedia.com ====================================== Computer & Information Science Major Minnesota State University, Mankato ====================================== Linux....the penguins are coming! - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archive at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
