I don't know how this happened, but something changed on my keyboard. My meta keys are all screwed up and CTRL/ALT don't work correctly. Where/How is this defined and how might I go about resetting it?

Can you provide some version info on KDE, SuSE, XFree98, etc. This is different from version to version. If it's recent, take a look in the KDE control center. The ability to customize those features is quite complete. You can thank me. Not for fixing it, but for whining about it until the fixed it to shut me up. ;-) STH -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFASITuwX61+IL0QsMRAuTfAKCbGHmSIBk22K/4wW353IkdjlcMzQCg2gb5 SspzhGCybyTR64ifWINBzvQ= =Unzp -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

You can work on it in Yast2 by going to System/Select Keyboard Layout. You can also fiddle with the keyboard layout by going to Hardware/Graphics Card and Monitor, which has a subsection on input devices. (How were you supposed to know that? Good question!) How the two mechanisms relate to each other and interact is something I've often been puzzled by. Paul Abrahams
