[opensuse] KDE task switcher - switched from vertical list to horizontal windows after upgrade?
On my laptop I switched the KDE task-switcher to the vertical list format (icon on the left, window title on the right) a long time ago. I did something with the icons too, ISTR. I rarely reboot, I only suspend and resume, but after a reboot (and presumably an upgrade) the task-switcher behaviour has now switched back to the horizontal row of windows, which is incredibly tiresome. This is exactly the kind of thing that makes me very wary of upgrades. How do I get my vertical list back? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (18.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Noone can tell me how to do this? I guess I'll have to dig out the answer from last time - must have been the upgrade to KDE4. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.3°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I believe the option is Window Behaviour > Task Switcher > Visualization and then toggle the drop down to "informative". Cheers the noo, Graham -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks Graham! Do you also happen to know how to get the colours of the icons back in the vertical switcher view? ISTR it being a little more complex - editing some config file or some such? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (19.5°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Found it myself - I just needed to switch to format "Compact", where I had already implemented this change: http://askubuntu.com/questions/134183/any-way-to-get-colored-icons-in-alt-ta... Thanks again, much happier now. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (20.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free DNS hosting, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
