Problem with new kernel 23.22 Leap 15.6
The kernel was updated today on my ThinkPad, which fails on bootup with the error: Kernel Offset: 0x17200000... end Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS... I can revert to 23.17. Anyone else experience this? tnx jk

I did a 23.22 in recent hours no problem on an old 2 thread AMD A4. Did you check to be sure the initrd got built for yours? I've seen dracut get skipped on occasion for no apparent reason, and other times for a reason eventually discovered and official fix yet to be released. Do you have anything in a file /etc/environment? -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks! more /etc/environment # # This file is parsed by pam_env module # # Syntax: simple "KEY=VAL" pairs on seperate lines #
I'll try deleting the new kernel and reinstalling.

Just try to run mkinitrd first. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.5 x86_64 at Telcontar)
