[SLE] SuSE 6.2 from Chumbo.com and a complain
Hi, Just got my 6.2 copy from chumbo.com $29.99+$4.95(S&H). For some reason chumbo.com bumped up the price from $23, but they gave me a free upgrade to Fedex 2 Day. One thing I didn't like was the cardboard CD sleeve. Is SuSE doing a bit of cost cutting? I am surprised that noone else complained about that. I much, much prefer the cardboard CD sleeve. Every one of the plastic multi-CD boxes I've had have been broken and wouldn't hold the CDs. Also, I think it's cool how much info they printed on the cardboard sleeve. The cardboard sleeve takes up less space than the plastic box... AND we always have the option to buy an empty plastic box (though I havn't seen many around that will hold 6 CDs). If that helps them to keep the price at 29.99 (Best Buy Cincinnati today) then more power to them. It was on the middle shelf. RH was on the bottom at $79. Robert

Actualy I like it better , easier whn swaping cds ( dont need to push and snap them in, i allways break a couple of thise psider holders) , and takes up much les space on the shelf. Especialy now that it has grown to 6 cds and 2 flopies. A real bang for you buck at 29.95 , redhat is at 69.95 allready and not as meny cds. I also saw a HUGE box with something called linux for profesionals I think. has two books and 5 diffrent distros and a dozen cds as well. It was caldera based from the titles of the included books. What I would like to see is a suse baseed linux unleashed type book. That would be super.
