Hi SuSE lurkers, Where or who do I contact to add another piece of excellent working hardware to the database? I don't know if someone at SuSE tests these things or the program authors or it is left up to the users to sort out what hardware works best or not? Anyway, I wanted to add the some CDRW models to the list that play very nice with Linux! Those models are the Acer 2010A (20x10x40) and the 2410A (24x10x40). Both work very well with cdrecord, KreateCD, etc. Both are very fast drives burning data, but do require good high speed media to write too. If someone at SuSE can do that fine or point me to the right place and I will be happy to do it. Also, stay away from the Mitsumi drives as they just don't work well with Linux! The drives I have tested there are the CR4801TE and the CR4808TE models. Seems a shame too as most of the earlier Mitsumi worked so well that are listed on the HDB. Looks like Mitsumi has decided Windows is the only place to be these days! Too bad. ;o( Thanks, Patrick -- ---KMail 1.3.2--- SuSE Linux v7.2 Pro--- Registered Linux User #225206 /tracerb@sprintmail.com/ *Magic Page Products* Amiga-Sales & Service-http://home.sprintmail.com/~tracerb
