Re: [SLE] Q: When can we expect the next SuSE?/ReiserFS/SuSE-PPC
Hi, ** I thought 6.3 included reiserFS? Anyways I've got a question on ** filesystems. Yeah - but the SDB says dont use it yet on prod systems - It's not stable?!?!? ** What do people think of the IBM JFS that was released? Don't know - IBM were responsible for dumping the crappy x86 PC architecture on us then changing the specs (ie MCA) - In actual fact I dont want to know about this!! Plus MV/S on IBM mainframes is the most painful system ever created. They are also part of the PPC family. -) I hear the JFS is actually quite good but I wouldn't mind hearing from somebody without any bias. The people I've heard comment on it have sold IBM systems in the past and still do so. BTW I'd love to see IBM open source the user interface from OS/2. Of course I'm dreaming but I can dream can't I? Hey, I've been using a 42T for couple of years. It has JFS volumes, but that is the only thing it has. Has anybody or even heard of anybody getting PPC Linux with X on an IBM 42T or a 43P? -Btm77 -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
