[opensuse] Kmail2 uses nonstandard IMAP flags
Hi, I just noticed that kmail2 uses it's own IMAP flags. Instead of eg "\Answered" what practically EVERY other IMAP client uses, it uses "$REPLIED". That throws off my other clients, e.g. Hastymail² webmailer... Is there any way to tell kmail2 to behave like any other normal mail client? I'm really starting to get annoyed with those constant extratours of KDE. First that bovine fecal matter that kmail2 ALWAYS sends pgp signatures as PGP/MIME and there is no menu option to select inline signature - which pretty much makes it unuseable because many Windows clients don't understand it, and now that... -S -- (o_ Stefan Gofferje | SCLT, MCP, CCSA //\ Reg'd Linux User #247167 | VCP #2263 V_/_ Heckler & Koch - the original point and click interface 07:45am up 3:09, 3 users, load average: 0.16, 0.22, 0.18 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

What is the imap server daemon in use? Is the problem that Hastymail is not recognizing $Replied flag, or that NOTHING else recognizes the flag? This $Replied flag seems to come from MAPI (Exchange), not IMAP. Its not in RFC 3501. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Well, Thunderbird also doesn't recognize it.

And RFC2060 defines the flags (\Seen, \Answered, etc.)... I already opened a bug report on kde.org... -- (o_ Stefan Gofferje | SCLT, MCP, CCSA //\ Reg'd Linux User #247167 | VCP #2263 V_/_ Heckler & Koch - the original point and click interface 21:57pm up 8:47, 6 users, load average: 0.44, 0.33, 0.32 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Which bug report number? I can't find it with the obvious "kmail|kmail2", subject:*replied* query. You are not alone here. Sadly this is exactly why the general 'trend' with KDE users is away from KMail, KOffice, and (as a web browser) Konqueror, and towards LibreOffice, Firefox, Thunderbird.
