I have tryed 2 applications for ICQ on my SuSE 7.3 licq kicq2 Strange thing is I get disconnected from the server after 5 minutes. Everytime i reconnect, it happens again. I wonder if this is an application problem, or something is happening to ICQ servers, or (may be) applications mentioned above lack the configuration need to make it work behind a firewall (due to UDP, ports, etc), because I dont know if these applications need incoming UDP ports or something... Is there any application for ICQ beside the 2 mentioned above BTW, I also tryed the new ICQ2GO using Netscape 4.78, but it also hangs up..... (i think this is a problem from the applet) Thanks -------------------------------------------------------- Juan Francisco Torres Ch.
I am using gaim with icq, aim and msn at the same time and works perfectly! I think that it's the best im application for linux. Diego Costa El mar, 27-08-2002 a las 18:48, Juan Francisco Torres Chacón escribió:

http://sim-icq.sourceforge.net/ looks interesting -- Togan Muftuoglu Unofficial SuSE FAQ Maintainer http://dinamizm.ath.cx
If you don't mind wine, I'd recommend trying Trillian with crossover plugin. It is compatible with all the major messaging services. You'd have to get the plugin from codeweavers or you can try it with the standard wine. It works flawlessly. John S. jtorres@netco.net.co wrote:
