[opensuse] USB permissions screwed after last online update
Hello everybody! I just noticed that I can't access my digital camera or my scanner as a non-priviledged after the last online update... The only way to do it is, as you guessed, being logged in as root... which is not what I like... Is there any place I should take a look at or a way to fix the permissions? Sorry, Martin, no answer here, just an additional question, possibly related: is this why, since the last update (10.0), my USB thumbdrive no longer appears when plugged in? ditto for camera, and maybe why USB printer seems often not to work, unless I do the localhost:631 stuff? For thumbdrive I can access as a file, ie, /media/THUMBDRIVE, but does not just appear as it used to. I haven't experienced that problem, however one thing you might do is check to see what group those devices are assigned to. You may just have to assign the user to whatever group they are, provided it's not root. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
