Hi. I use SuSE 9.0, and would have Kweather to run here. I have entered the ICAO ID, but it tells me, that the station doesn't exists. Thats not the true. It works fine on my SuSE 8.2. The ICAO ID is EKYT What's wrong ? -- Med venlig hilsen - Best regards. Erik Jakobsen - eja@urbakken.dk. Licensed radioamateur with the callsign OZ4KK. SuSE Linux 8.2 Proff. What's wrong ?
Probably nothing, I found it takes a while to sync. Also from time to time I found that the weather info is not available. -- Regards, Graham Smith ---------------------------------------------------------
I hadn't heard of KWeather before, and I haven't been able to locate it. Is it part of the standard SuSE distribution? If so, what package is it in? Paul Abrahams

It is in the kdetoys3 package.
According to the package description, kdetoys3 contains just these: kmoon, the show-me-the-current-moon-phase-in-the-panel program kworldwatch, the show-me-where-on-the-world-is-day program kodo, the show-me-how-far-have-i-moved-my-mouse-today program Paul Abrahams

It's there! Even though it does not state it in the description. You can use pin to double check what i told you. Marshall
Look in the package dependencies! On Wednesday 18 February 2004 18:26, Marshall Heartley wrote:

Right click on start->Panel Menu->add->applett. Here you'll see Kweather. HTH -- Med venlig hilsen - Best regards. Erik Jakobsen - eja@urbakken.dk. Licensed radioamateur with the callsign OZ4KK. SuSE Linux 9.0 Proff. Registered as user #319488 with the Linux Counter, http://counter.li.org.

Yes. Install the applet twice, and set the preferences for each to the desired ICAO code. You'll get two applet icons in the task bar. I tried it and it worked for me. Jim Cunning
Thanks, I'll give it a try. On Wed, 2004-02-18 at 11:14, Jim Cunning wrote:

OK, I see what's going on. It wasn't on the Panel Menu originally, but after installing kdetoys3 it was on that menu. Unfortunately the package description of kdetoys3 is incorrect (it omits kweather, among other things) so Yast's search doesn't find it when you search on kweather. Anyway, it works now for me. Paul Abrahams
Not really incorrect - it's an applet not a program, hence it is shown in the Dependencies tab under "Provides" (along with fifteen, eyes and ww) rather than in the Description tab which usually lists the programs contained in the package. I suppose it depends on what you believe should be listed in the description. On Wednesday 18 February 2004 20:07, Paul W. Abrahams wrote:
